Bingham is a popular market town situated nine miles east of Nottingham. In November 2013, Bingham was named the best town in England and Wales to raise a family due to its excellent schools, low crime rate and affordable housing. It has several thriving businesses and a busy town centre. With new housing developments being created this town is growing in popularity for young families.
Situated just off the A52 and A46 the town is ideal for the East Midlands road links. There is a frequent and well used public bus service into Nottingham for commuters. Bingham also has its own railway station which provides a less frequent service to Nottingham, Grantham and beyond.
There are many sports and leisure facilities in Bingham, retail outlets, eateries, pubs, sport clubs and local library.
Bingham has a market in the central Market Place every Thursday, and a farmers' market there on the third Saturday of the month.
Bingham Leisure Centre has sports facilities and a swimming pool whilst also being home to a variety of social clubs. The facilities are attached to Toot Hill Secondary school which has an outstanding Ofsted report.
