Wilford and Wilford Village lie South of Nottingham, next to the River Trent. The village is served by a broad range of transport links into Nottingham City Centre, with frequent buses, cycle paths and the newly opened tram service providing residents with an easy route into the city centre. Wilford itself has a variety of amenities including a pub, and two secondary schools nearby.

Its direct link on to the A52 places Wilford within a short distance of the Queens Medical Centre, Boots Head Office and the University of Nottingham.
